Gather Data, Create Safer Campuses
Many post-secondary institutions in Canada are accountable to legislation that requires them to report data about sexual violence on campus. REES simplifies the data collection and analysis process through use of consistent data collection methods, comprehensive questions and multiple response answers.
Whether to supplement, or replace, existing data collection methods or to begin collecting data for the first time, REES provides valuable information that can assist institutions to fulfill reporting requirements and evaluate campus response on an annual and on-going basis.
“If you can’t measure it, you can’t improve it.”
— Peter Drucker
With REES on campus you can…

Provide a trauma-informed platform
designed to address the issue of campus sexual violence including under-reporting and outdated data collection methods.

Reduce barriers
to reporting with reusable records, multiple reporting options, and bidirectional communication.

Create a centralized hub
of information about supports and resources, policies, procedures and reporting processes that are customized to your campus community.

Gather data
for early identification of risks and blindspots to inform prevention efforts and resource allocation.

Offer an expanded range of reporting options
that move beyond email with encrypted, multi-channel pathways to provide agency and options such as Anonymous Reporting with bidirectional communication, Report to HR, Report to WIL, and more.

Identify a person
that poses risk to the campus community and has harmed more than one person with Repeat Perpetrator Identification Matching (RPI).
Features

Anonymous Report
provides an option for students to have their anonymous data about campus-related sexual violence provided to their institution without making a formal disclosure or complaint. This data can be used to inform policy, develop prevention education, enhance security on campus and meet reporting requirements.

Report to Police
is an optional feature available in partnership with local law enforcement. When a survivor chooses this reporting option, REES will transfer their contact information and Record directly to police.

Connect to My Campus
enables students to reach out to the designated staff contact at their institution for information about supports and resources available to them both on and off campus. REES provides the option to send their Record and/or Narrative of the incident online directly to the staff contact.

Repeat Perpetrator Identification (RPI)
is a feature of REES that helps to identify a person that has perpetrated sexual violence against multiple people. A student can provide specific identifying information about the perpetrator and if there is a match of identifying information provided by two survivors, the designated campus contact will be informed.
Privacy is essential to the
work we do.
REES gives control to survivors over their personal data. When a Record is created with REES only the survivor can access it until they choose if and when to share it and with whom.
With data stored in Canada, REES strives for compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and is developed using the principles of Privacy by Design.
