Red River College has partnered with EVA (Ending Violence Across) Manitoba to launch a new online tool that will empower students, staff and instructors to anonymously report sexual assaults on campus, and access the support they need.

(more…)Respect Educate Empower Survivors, or more commonly known as REES, is an innovative platform that reduces the barriers of reporting sexual violence for survivors. 1 in 3 women and 1 in 6 men experience sexual violence, yet less than 5% of sexual assaults get reported. REES aims to solve this problem by providing survivors with an online platform that can connect them with information, resources, and increased reporting options. (more…)

This fall, CMU has launched a partnership with REES (Respect, Educate, Empower Survivors), a new online platform for reporting sexual violence on campuses. Eleven universities and colleges, all the post-secondary institutions in Manitoba except for the University of Manitoba, have committed to signing on to the initiative in 2020 or 2021.
Eleven of Manitoba’s colleges and universities have signed on with Respect, Empower, Educate Survivors (REES), an online sexual violence reporting tool tailored to the needs of post-secondary campuses. The only institution yet to do so is the U of M. (more…)
